I wanted to see Cento Passi yesterday. That movie is about Giuseppe Impastato, a relatively famous Sicilian anti-mafia person and journalist .. who lived in Cinisi (Palermo) and just at 100 steps from the home of Tano Badalamenti (a famous mafioso), thus the name of the movie, it would letterally be one hundred steps in English. But I didn't want to see it alone, so I saw instead Hackers, dubbed in Italian .. (one very good example of very bad dubbing by the way).

I guess it must have because of the thought of Cento Passi that I had a very weird dream last night. I was close to Bagheria, with the car, and just running around ... Argueing and running away from the brother of Giovanni Falcone... he, or they, looked exactly like they looked years ago, not any older. A very, very awkward thought after waking up and still being shocked by the dream, "Hey, .. didn't he have a mac?". The same argueing topics he used do have years ago. When will my memories let me free? I did not want to see any Falcones any more, not even in my dreams.

Or it may have been because of the Lingua Siciliana or U Sicilianu sicilian online newspaper sitse that I saw the other day. Or the Musica Napoletana that I found, looking for a dvd copy of some of the greatest movies of Totò (Antonio de Curtis in civil), especially Totò Peppino e Malafemmina... Well. Rethinking .. I think I will see Così è la Vita, a Christmas blockbuster of a few years ago, a film that I would define as the Italy's O Brother Where Art Thou. I don't want to have any more dreams that are bound to any Sicilians in the near future.
