2004-01-26 - 1:22 p.m.

I had wished I could do again the weekend shifts at new release. But they have reorganized the schedules, at least this weekend was nothing. Last weekend had been great, seeing some London, but this ..? I fancy the idea of going to Glasgow once Gon, the friend and vice admin of the ED boards will have moved there - that will be like in ten days. And that will have to be one day or night in the bus, one or two there, one more back... Jeremy will come to London sometimes in February. That sounds like fun too (unless he wants to come here or to Birmingham for a weekend). And I don't exclude the idea of Ben or others finding a reason to come here.. cheap flights, me, anything.. practising till the next world championships of rock paper scissors.. seeing the Jaguar car museum, looking for the place where I was killed 822 years ago, seeing the Tate Gallery... name a reason, shouldn't be that hard.

So, sleeping late this weekend. The Greek complained about the net being down loudly 9 am.. I fixed it later, when I got up. It was a nice sunshine day out, a perfect day for taking pictures. Most people appeared to look at me weirdly when I took pictures of some things that aren't that pretty - just something average here. But that is what I want for a slide show.. how it looks here. That, some looks of the people, the light plays, the Tate stuff - I know what and how I want to do with it, just uncetain which of the 3 programs I could do it with, to use. After nearly a thousand photos the camera needed new batteries - amazing how long the original batteries had lasted. I wanted to take pictures at the Cathedral and markets etc as well, but being a saturday evening, they were too full of screaming teenagers, so I ran away.

I ended up getting a few more movies. One cheesy hong kong Bruce Lee imitation - it had actually a few interesting scenes .. a history of the hong kong and kung fu movies, Under Milk Wood, Rosemary's Baby and The Last Temptation of Christ (which he of course had already, so either hoping they'd change it, or sell or give it to someonw). I'll be really afraid of watching the last of these - I really love the soundtrack, I think it's hard to make the film be as good as the soundtrack. And of course Don Juan de Marco (only for the Depp's sake!), Nick of Time, The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Nightmare Before Christmas.. Someone's got already 12 gifts in the past 12 days, I'll just have to send only some of them and bring the rest of them with me, or maybe send some in a huge pack .. I'm now ripping the hong kong movie history, I know two people who will like to see that but that don't have a dvd player that plays region 2. I feel like sending that and a one-way flight ticket to my cousin telling her to learn quick some martial arts... she'd be awesome as a Hong Kong movie star. :)
